The cathedral church of St John the Divine, Oban, is the venue for a diocesan celebration of lay ministries in the diocese. The celebration will be a Eucharist at 12 noon, followed by a buffet lunch. All those in the diocese involved in authorised lay ministries are invited, and notices will be going out to all charges to ensue that this is intimated in all charges. Specific licensing and authorisation will be made in the service for those who have recently completed training in pastoral visiting, and renewal of promises will be made by all others who support the church by their ministry in their local charges.
