Bishop Kevin was in New Zealand today (22nd February 2014) to support Dr Helen-Ann Hartley as she was made the 7th Bishop of Waikato, in the Anglican Diocese of Waikato and Taranaki, Aotearoa New Zealand. Bishop Kevin is a family friend of Bishop Helen-Ann, and was excited to be able to travel to New Zealand to support her in her ministry. Bishop Helen-Ann is making news as the first English-born and English-trained female priest to be consecrated as an Anglican bishop. The Scottish Episcopal Church allows women to be ordained as bishops, but, as yet, no such appointment has been made. (Photo: Television New Zealand Limited)
